Davis connected rain gauge
Know exactly how much rain fell on each plot, without driving out and with no subscription. The Davis tipping-bucket mechanism, connected by FURGO.
Know how much rain fell on each plot without driving out there. A connected tipping-bucket rain gauge, affordable, no subscription.
The Gravity is FURGO’s entry-level connected rain gauge. Its goal: make remote rainfall measurement accessible to every farm, small or large, without sacrificing reliability or imposing recurring fees.
A tipping bucket: each tip equals 0.2 mm of rain, and the sensor counts and transmits. The collection cone is protected against birds and debris — the two classic causes of skewed readings late in the season. Data is reported over LoRaWAN or GSM depending on your terrain, and displayed in real time on the FURGO platform, alongside your other weather or farm sensors.
Hardware, firmware and documentation are open source: you keep control of what you have bought. Totals export in one click to a spreadsheet (CSV, Excel) or straight to your software through the open REST/JSON API — no locked format, no retyping.
You pay for the rain gauge once. Platform access and data export are included, with no annual surcharge. No monthly fee, no hidden billing: if a consumable ever needs renewing (connectivity top-up, battery), it is a one-off expense you decide on — not a rent taken every month.
No. You buy the rain gauge, you own the hardware and your data. The platform is included, with no hidden billing and no annual surcharge.
GSM works anywhere a phone gets signal, with nothing to install. LoRaWAN makes sense if you already have a gateway or a LoRa network nearby. Tell us where the sensor will go and we will point you in the right direction.
Yes. Readings export as CSV or Excel, and an open REST/JSON API lets you plug them straight into your own farm tools.
The Gravity makes connected measurement affordable, with a resolution of 0.2 mm per tip. The Davis is the benchmark if you are after higher accuracy — both report to the same platform.
